mabelmoments:

Daredevil tourists dangle their legs over the edge of a dizzying 1,982ft tall cliff face. Brit Greg MacDonald took this picture at Pulpit Rock in Norway. The enormous cliff face attracts hundreds of thousands of thrill seekers each year. Many simply enjoy the stunning view from the plateau but the very brave stand and sit on the edge of the gigantic rock face.
THERE IS NO EFFING WAY YOU WOULD GET ME NEAR THAT THING.

A homeless dog in Tibet.

High up in a small Chinese mountain town I traced the peaceful steps of locals circling the city’s Chode Gompa. Half way around the long and dusty path I ran across this matted guardian lost in his own special world of domestic bliss.

A seed is just promise in stasis.  It won’t become anything unless it is given a place to grow.  Supported by light and water.  Just like an idea.  It hangs in the balance, waiting for someone to believe in it.

What seeds are you waiting to plant?  Now is the time.

The wind is blowing ideas around like a woman who’s lost her last shred of patience. No suggestive whispers or gentle coercion today.  It’s full volume:

Make love for dinner tonight.  Open a book at random and find out what the universe wants you to know, right now.  Put your car keys in a glass jar, fill it halfway with water and put it in the freezer.  Now, where do you want to go?  You’re gonna see a lot more on the way there, I promise.  Call your mother … even, nay ESPECIALLY, if you’re not getting on well … and yes, even if she’s gone from this earth.  Call her and tell her what’s in your heart.  She wants to know.  (Re)Learn how to play.  Take up skipping.  Knees shot?  Jump on the bed!  Buy something from a farmer tomorrow. Turn up the volume and dance with your children in the kitchen.  Wake up! and be grateful there’s still day left.

Yes, yes it does.

Q&A

Previous client:  Does this mean you aren’t doing tax returns this year?

Me:  See above.
